Inherent Pain
The thunder of boots in a darkened hall
Sounds of screams through a cement wall
Thoughts of no one hearing a call
Knowing again my defenses will fall
But through this fight I have only you
In my thoughts as all I can do
To shutter the sounds of inherent pain
I close my eyes to keep myself sane
Through roaring downpours of my blue rain
Crashing the ground in my throbbing brain
