Closer to Her

To control destiny
And find a place
He looks her over
Sleeping grace
He imagines Heaven
A breeze through a willow
To long for reincarnation
He would be her pillow

  1. Seeing heaven in that special person. A romantic and poetic piece. I enjoyed this a lot Luther.

  2. I missed your post last week. Couldn't find it to log on. Anyway, I really liked this one, reading it out loud had such a nice flow. What a nice thought, to come back as someone's pillow! Lovely!

  5. This is a lovely poem. I like the strength to re-invent the narrator that is found in the lines.

  6. This rolls quite nicely. I like the lighter touch of reincarnating as an inanimate object, close to the soul of a beloved.
